Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and date of birth. If you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google, Apple, or other supported services), we receive your name, email address, and basic profile information from that provider.

Voice Recordings and Transcripts

When you participate in AI-guided interviews, we record and process your voice. These recordings are transcribed into text. Both the audio and transcripts are stored as part of your capsule.

Photos and Images

You may upload photos to accompany your biography. These images are stored alongside your capsule data.

Profile Information

Any additional information you provide in your profile, including your preferred name and biographical details shared during interviews.

Generated Content

Biographies, chapter summaries, entity records, and other content generated from your interviews by our AI systems.

Payment Information

When you make a purchase, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment credentials. We receive and store your Stripe customer ID, transaction amounts, and purchase records.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the service, including session durations, pages visited, features used, and interview time. We use Google Analytics (GA4) for anonymized usage analytics.

Device and Technical Data

Standard technical information including your browser type, device type, IP address, and operating system.

Capsule Reset: You can reset your capsule at any time from your account settings. This deletes your interview sessions, transcripts, generated biographies, photos, and related capsule data.

Account Deletion: You can delete your account from your account settings. This removes your account and all associated capsule data from our active systems.

Please note that some data may persist in encrypted backups maintained by our service providers for a limited period as part of their standard data protection practices. Data shared with third-party AI providers during processing is subject to those providers' retention policies.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Eternal Capsule uses artificial intelligence to conduct interviews, generate biographies, extract entities, create chapter summaries, and produce other content from your conversations. While our AI systems are designed to accurately capture and represent your story, all generated content is produced by AI and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or misrepresentations. You are responsible for reviewing and editing your generated content before sharing it.

8. Children's Privacy

Eternal Capsule is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.
